Project "Arnaud"

Chief Product Officer

Job Description

Project Arnaud is an ambitious, fully funded start-up creating the UK’s first digital neo-private bank and wealth manager. We were founded by the people who created and/or scaled Starling, Monzo, Nutmeg, Mettle, Mox, Bud, Fronted, Wealthify and many more successful fintechs. We know what is needed to deliver this, and we have already invested £50m of our own money to bring the assets and regulatory capabilities together that are needed to support our mission; to make the modern world’s most bespoke wealth services.
We're big believers in autonomous teams and iterative development. We're crazy about continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. And everything we build will be focussed on solving real customer pain points, building out minimum viable products, then driving a test and learn culture throughout the teams, so that designing and building our market defining products becomes a team sport.
In the new year, we will be recruiting for several development squads to build award winning, scalable customer journeys on the world’s most modern tech, across both the front and back end architecture, with people who want to rewrite how financial services are delivered.
Ahead of this, we are looking for a commercial, customer focussed, committed and fun Chief Product Officer, who will be the 2nd person in the business and will work alongside the CEO, Andy Russell, as co-pilot to building something that’s never been built before.

About You

We are seeking an experienced Chief Product Officer, or a senior Product Manager looking for their first CPO role, to join our ambitiously growing team. In this role, you will drive the delivery of Arnaud’s product development. You’ll work alongside the CEO, leading design of the proposition, delivery efforts, shaping of the roadmap, and add to our vision as you bring your experience and knowledge to bring this all to life. You will work together with the best engineers, fintech talent, and clients, to create and develop Arnaud alongside the Foundry platform, a sister company within 11:FS Holdings who will be building Arnaud’s back end platform.

Responsibilities

As an early stage senior leader, your role will cover all the areas needed to help build a company from scratch as part of a close knit team. Using your experience, ideas and innovative mindset, you will lead the Build area of the team which covers the design, build and delivery of Arnaud’s customer facing propositions.
  • Customer insights and development - The Product team will identify the ‘jobs to be done’ for different end-customer segments, structuring primary and secondary research into insightful proposition ideas and proposals.
  • Create proposition - Working cross functionally you will define, take to market and help sell a solution to stakeholders that brings together a real answer to a customer need, remixing design patterns, understanding what can be built in software, and what the potential business model could be.
  • MLP development and test - You will own and shape future functionality, shaping new MLPs based on financial, marketing and client feedback as well as the core direction of the platform itself.
  • Delivery - You will work alongside the business and engineering teams to help craft Arnaud’s core web and app journeys.
  • Product Roadmap - You will define the roadmap and backlog of work, supporting and directing the Arnaud team in planning how the product will develop in specific markets. You will work with the team and wider 11:FS Holding’s leadership teams to prioritise what needs to be delivered.
  • Product Marketing - You will have an understanding of the core product features, benefits and how this translates into product marketing, working closely with Marketing experts to help shape our strategies.
  • Iterative improvements - the Product team will continue to own the delivery post go live, hunting for feedback across various routes, and working with the engineering team to move the proposition from MVP to market challenging to market leading.

Qualifications

  • You live and breath Jobs to be Done.
  • You have extensive Product Management experience in retail customer environments that uses technology to solve real customer problems, and understand both the B2B2C and B2B channel dynamics.
  • You have ‘0 to 1’ product definition and development experience bringing together research, identifying key opportunities and strategically prioritising routes to market
  • You have a customer centric mindset, and are great at striking the balance between business viability, technical feasibility and customer value to drive the best results
  • You are insanely passionate about how technology, commercial and delivery tensions can be managed and can communicate brilliantly.
  • Your curiosity means you spend your spare time investigating where other customer journeys in the market succeed and fail, bringing learnings into your own way of doing things
  • You have experience of leading and managing teams within a fast paced startup environment on modern technology, and are comfortable with ambiguity and working with autonomy and ownership of a product area
  • You have excellent stakeholder management skills with demonstrable experience in working cross functionally and influencing technical teams.
  • You have a passion for Fintech and are excited by the opportunity to change the fabric of financial services
Using modern technology to deliver retail customer solutions is our primary concern. However, we are particularly keen to hear from you if you have experience in wealth management, investments, banking, payments, asset management or artificial intelligence.

Location

Work can be done anywhere but relationships and trust are built best face to face. We believe that the best teams take ownership for themselves. We strongly believe our people should decide where they will do the best work for the company. We dont support presenteeism, nor do we support missing important face to face meetings to receive an Amazon delivery at home. But if you take ownership of yours and your teams’ deliveries, and will work where you need to be to get the best outcome for the company, whether that be at home, in the office in London, or meeting strategic partners, then you’re for us.

Package

A market competitive start up package, balanced between salary and equity. We happily take experience into consideration on salary, but the balance of salary in the overall package will be what you’d expect coming into the business as FTE number 2.
Who we are looking for is someone who is excited about participating, financially, physically and emotionally, in creating something brand new, that changes the fabric of financial services, solving real customer problems that exist in a growing and lucrative market.
